MINISTRY LEADERS MEETING
This Sunday, October 12th, we are having our Ministry Leaders Meeting at 4:00 pm in the Café.

ARE YOU NEW TO CALVARY CHAPEL?
Would you like to know more about the chruch and get involved? Pastor Bob will be holding 5 consecutive meetings on Sunday evenings beginning September 28th through October 26th. These meetings are for those who would like to learn more about Calvary Chapel and consider getting involved in serving the Lord by use of their spiritual gifts and the ministries that the Lord has established at Calvary. Topics will include: A Venture of Faith; Pastor Bob's personal testimony; The Calvary Chapel philopsphy of ministry, and the various principles of ministry, serving, and leadership. Finally on the last day, we would like to have dinner together on the church grounds and celebrate the Lord's supper. If you would like to attend, please sign up at the Info. Center.

HARVEST CARNIVAL - CANCELLED
There will not be a Harvest Carnival at our church this year. We look forward to doing a Carnival next year.

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
Join us for a time of worship, bible study, and free coffee! Weekly Sunday night meetings will be held in the Café at 7:30pm. A great fellowship opportunity for anyone between the ages of 18 - 25ish.

CALVARY CHAPEL MEN'S 2008 CONFERENCE
Men, get ready to go at the upcomng 19th Annual Calvary Chapel Men's Conference, to be held Saturday, October 18th, 2008, from 7:30am-4:00pm, at the Anaheim Convention Center. It was the LORD Jesus Himself who said go in Matthew, chapter 28; and we will hear and consider how we can do just that as God's word on this subject is brought to us by our guest speakers, Pastor Chuck Smith, Jack Abeelen, Brian Brodersen, Skip Heitzig, Pancho Juarez, Mike MacIntosh, Steve Mays, Raul Ries, Dave Rolph, and David Rosales. So join us, better yet, bring a friend, and we'll see you on October 18th! A bus is leaving from our church on Friday, October 17th at 4pm. The cost is $100 which includes bus and hotel. THE COMMAND TO BE SEXUALLY PURE
Men's Conference on Saturday, November 22, from 8am - 4pm. Come and enjoy worship, encouragement, teaching, and accountability. This is a free event!! Conference Speakers: Pastor Bob Grenier, Pastor Tonye Holyde, Pastor Jack Hibbs, Pastor Tim Chaddick, Pastor "Pops". Worship Leader, Dominic Balli. COMING NOVEMBER 3 - 7 / WEEK OF PRAYER AND FASTING NIGHTLY @ 7PM
Will you join us? Few would argue that we are living in perilous times, but as Christian's how are we to respond? Dozens of churches throughout the United States and around the world have chosen to respond by setting aside the week of November 3rd , to pray and fast as we intercede for each other, our country, and our world. Each evening we will be connecting with churches via the internet as we come together to pray for specific topics as lead by various pastors throughout the country. You can be a part of these focused prayer times by coming to church. Not only do we pray for specific topics as a church, but we also pray for individual requests you can submit onlinle. We have a group of people praying for every request that is recieved. We have received thousands of prayer requests over the years and have seen countless answers to those prayers. Whether you are looking for tools to develop an effective prayer life or need help in understanding what it means to fast, you will find resources to help you.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM SIGN-UPS
The Fumbly Bumbly Angels are flying into Calvary Chapel on Sunday, December 14th. Please sign up now at the Info Center. The Heavenly Anel Choir is for 4 year olds through Kindergarten, and stage performers are 1st Grade and up. Please contact Debbie Gutierrez @ 733-5136 if you have any questions.

WOMAN TO WOMAN BIBLE STUDY
The Woman to Woman BIble Study is on Tuesday evenings. Come at 6:30pm for coffee and fellowship. The Bible Study begsins at 7 pm. The teaching will be on 1 Timothy. Pick up a study in the Info. Center. New sign-ups welcome.

ISRAEL TRIP 2009 - CANCELLED
Due to a lack of sign-ups, Pastor Bob and our church will not be participating in the trip to Israel in March 2009. If you would still like to go, Pastor Raul Ries and his church are still going. For more information, contact Kevin @ the church office.

BUILDING PROJECT
Please pray for the Lord's provision as we work towards sealing the parking lot, installing shades for the foyer windows, engineering plans for a connection to the city sewer system and architectual drawings for a proposed children's classroom building.  The total amount needed is $68,000.00. Our current need is $63,600.00. Please indicate "Building Project" on the memo portion of your check or envelope.

CALVARY KIDS BIBLE CLUB-SCHOOLS
We need approximately 5 volunteers per school, 1 hour per week from 3pm - 4pm. If you are interested in this opportunity, please sign up in the Info. Center.

FUNERAL MINITRY TEAM
If you are interested in helping at funerals, please sign up in the Info. Center.

CAFÉ VOLUNTEER NEEDED
No experience required! This is a weekly opportunity to serve during the Young Adult Ministry. Call Pastor Eric @ 687-0220 if interested.

IN & OUT PRAYER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
This community sponsored m initry needs volunteers to serve on a rotating basis. Details and applications available at the Info. Center. For question contact Pastor Mike.

NURSERY WORKERS NEEDED
We need 2 nursery workers for 3rd service. If you would love to help take care of the babies, please sign up in the Info. Center.

GREETERS NEEDED
Greeters are needed for 2nd and 3rd services on Sunday morning. Contact Jerry Parkinson at the Info. Center if you are interested.

A COMMON MIRACLE
Pastor Bob's book is in! You can purchase your copy in the Chapel Store. All proceeds from the sales of A Common Miracle will go to the Radio Outreach Ministry of Calvary Chapel Visalia.

WILL TO CHANGE RECOVERY MEETING
We have a new recovery program on Monday nights.  The program is the "The Most Excellent Way," which is a Christ-centered recovery program based on the Beatitudes of Matthew (Ten Attitudes of Victorious Living").   The program time is 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Classroom 8 each Monday night.  For information, contact Kevin Mizner @ 687-0220.  You can find more information on the program at www.mostexcellentway.org

BABY DEDICATION
Here at Calvary Chapel, we do not practice "infant baptism". However, we do practice what is called "Baby or Child Dedication". This is a ceremony in which the child is offered in dedication to the Lord. The parents & extended family are admonished to raise the child to know and love God and to model a godly lifestyle. If you would like to have a child dedicated to the Lord, please contact the church office @ 687-0220.

PRAYER MINISTRY
If you have a desire to pray with someone, there are people available after 1st , 2nd, and 3rd services on Sunday mornings in Room 7. On Wednesday nights, from 6pm-7pm in the church office, there is an intercessory prayer meeting. You can also fill out the prayer request insert in your bulletin and place it in the offering bag and the intercessory team will be happy to pray for you.
