Pastor Mike Buford
Pastor Mike Buford has been in ministry for the past several years. Pastor Mike is the Assisting Pastor / Children's Ministry Pastor. Previously he was a Human Resource manager. Mike was born in 1954 in Woodlake, California, was married to Terri in 1974, and became the father of Trisha (born in 1978) and Mike, Jr. (born in 1980). Mike and Terri have three grandchildren, Reece, Carson & Olivia Sapien.

Mike shares his testimony: “I was raised in the church, but once in high school I wanted to experience what I had been ‘missing.’ For eight years, I continued running from God and doing what pleased me. In 1978, after the birth of our daughter, I began to realize that there was more to life than me. One day I happened to stumble onto a local Christian rock station and began listening on a regular basis. The station started running Pastor Chuck Smith’s Bible teaching. Through all of this, my wife, Terri, and I committed our lives to the Lord and, in 1981, found our home here at Calvary Chapel Visalia.”

Mike’s favorite books of the Bible are Genesis, John, and James. His favorite passage is John 1:1.
