Welcome to Calvary Chapel Visalia
Hi, it's Pastor Bob Grenier from Calvary Chapel Visalia. Thank You for stopping by our web site. We pray that Calvary Chapel might be a blessing to you in your walk with the Lord, or in your seeking to find a relationship with God. The Lord has led us here at Calvary Chapel Visalia to a very simple and consistent vision. We are deeply committed to teaching the Bible in a verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book method. The services here at Calvary Chapel Visalia are held on Sunday Mornings, and then on Wed Nights. You can see the service times right on the home page of the web site.
Calvary Chapel of Visalia, offers a Childrens Ministry at all of our Sunday Morning services, and our Wednesday Evening service as well. We also have a beautiful Cafe that offers meals and an opportunity to sit and fellowship with others before each of the services
Calvary Chapel Visalia is in fellowship with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, and the many hundreds of other Calvary Chapels in the U.S., and around the world.
May God richly bless you as you seek him, and, may you grow in the Grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Our Story
In July of 1978, Pastor Bob Grenier, and his wife Gayle moved to Visalia, and Calvary Chapel Visalia was started.
We had talked and prayed with Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, and together with his blessing, Gayle and I moved from Eugene Oregon, where I had been pastoring the Shiloh Fellowship, and Calvary Chapel of Visalia held it's first services, at 1:30 on Sunday afternoons, in a community room of a local store called Gottshalks.
We also began Calvary Chapel Visalia with a couple of home fellowships that met during the week. These were very exciting times and very challenging, and very rewarding. As Calvary Chapel Visalia began to grow, we were able to move our services to the local YMCA, and spent the next 16 1/2 years there.
Calvary Chapel Visalia slowly, but surely began to become established in the community and we grew as a body, not just numerically, but in our love for Jesus Christ, and for one another and for the city of Visalia, and the world we live in.
Calvary Story
The fellowship of believers now known as "Calvary Chapel" began in the late 1960's in one small, non-denominational church. Pastor Chuck Smith, who'd spent 17 years pastoring various churches throughout California and Arizona, became the pastor of a church in Costa Mesa, California which called itself "Calvary Chapel."
Through his many years of pastoring, Pastor Chuck became convinced that a new approach to ministry was needed.
Statement of Faith
We believe that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3).
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation
